This scholarship is from Universitas Muhammadiyah Surakarta (UMS) in Indonesia. It’s mainly for students from Muslim countries who want to study for a degree without worrying about costs. Both undergraduate and postgraduate spots are available.
- If you’re applying for undergraduate, you need to have finished high school.
- If it’s for postgraduate, then you must already hold a bachelor's degree.
Courses You Can Study
At UMS, there are two main study tracks:
- Regular Class (taught in Bahasa Indonesia)
- International Class (taught in English)
- There’s also Islamic Studies, which is taught in Arabic.
Postgraduate courses are mostly in Bahasa Indonesia, except the Master's in English Education.
What the Scholarship Covers
For Undergraduates:
- Tuition fully covered (for 8 semesters)
- Monthly allowance: IDR 1.75 million
- Books: IDR 50,000 monthly
- Health insurance
- Visa costs
- One flight to and from your country
- Free Bahasa Indonesia lessons (for Regular Class)
For Master’s and PhD:
- Tuition covered (Master’s: 4 semesters, PhD: 6 semesters)
- Monthly support (same as above)
- Visa, insurance, and books
- One round-trip ticket
- Free Bahasa course if needed
Required Documents
You’ll need these documents when applying:
- A valid passport
- Personal photo
- High school certificate
- Transcript showing your 12th grade results
- One recommendation letter
